Journy:

I developed the app, Journy, for a class on Human Computer Interaction. We identified a need in the space of hybrid collaboration for better facilitation in groups. Journy’s goal is to promote team collaboration and build social dynamics using the power of collaborative journaling. This app can be used either in a classroom setting (students in a group project) or in a professional setting (collaborators on a product team). You can use the app as a team member or as a facilitator/manager. In the team journal, team members can reflect on their teamwork for the day and view their’s and other team members’ reflections in the day’s Journy. The calendar view shows the bigger picture of the team’s dynamic over a monthly view.
As the lead developer, I created all the screens, graphics, and the data scheme, which was stored in Firebase. I worked with the UX researchers on my team to develop features based on the need finding that we conducted in our user interviews. Our process is documented in further detail on our website:
